Incredibly beautiful Kerama blue in the world

The water near Kerama Island is not only transparent and you can see many corals and colourful fish. When I go to Okinawa, I would like to jump into the water and Kerama Island is my priority. The water in Okinawa Main Island is great too, but the sea around Kerama Island is truly extraordinary.

Easy to access to Okinawa No.1 paradise

Kerama is located about 40km to the west of Okinwa Main Island and consists of more than 30 islands. It was designated a national park as there is abundant unique subtropical marine climate that deer and various rare animals inhabit.

A 35 minutes high speed boat ride from Naha takes you to nearby islands and you can enjoy marine activities on the white sandy beaches and a crystal-clear sea.

High probability of encountering sea turtles!

In summer, Kerama Islands is the place where sea turtles lay their eggs on the sandy beaches. You may have high probability to encounter them while snorkelling or scuba diving in the surrounding sea. Swimming with the gracefully gliding sea turtles will be an unforgettable experience.

If you are lucky enough,you may come into stingrays or enjoy whale watching in winter as the seas around Kerama Island are host to humpback whales. It will be touching and a great excitement if you could meet the giant creatures in the underwater world.

There are numerous snorkelling and diving points

You may snorkel in areas that gradually get deeper from the beach as well as shallow areas. Therefore, it will be comfortable for children or those who are afraid of the water. Moreover, there are also points that experienced divers will also be satisfied. Strongly recommend you to find a shop or tour that may suit your preference for diving.

There are various kinds of tours

Definitely, there are Islands with attraction spots and hotels, so either joining a day tour or staying overnight will also be a great option. There are tours that you can land on the islands and enjoy your day freely or you can enjoy a half day marine activity and have your lunch on a boat without landing on any island. Please choose the one that suits your schedule.

Swimming in Kerama Blue. I highly recommend you to go out of the boat. Some people may feel anxious when swimming into the deep sea. However, once you leap into the water, and clearly see the bottom of the sea, your whole body will be amazed and feel like you are flying over the sky. If this is your first time scuba diving, I recommend you get used to the sea by snorkelling first so you may have a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
