Located in the northern part of the main island, the ”Bise Fukugi Tree Row” retains the original scenery of Okinawa.
Since it is close to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, it is a place where many people visit before and after.

Fukugi is widely known as a windbreak, and its trunk is sturdy and its leaves are glossy and thick. Although it is a tree that can be seen in the gardens of ordinary households, there is a reason why Bise attracts attention. This is because the Fukugi trees planted around the house have grown so large that they look like a row of trees. You will be captivated by the elegant green tunnel that protects the Bise village.

Are the Fukugi trees in Bise like a maze?

The Fukugi trees in Bise continue for about 1km from north to south along the Bise coast. As you go deeper from the area where the parking lot and cafe are located, you will begin to see a green tunnel. Both sides of the narrow road are filled with Fukugi and other trees! Since it is a village, some places feel like a maze.

On hot days, the shade of Fukugi makes you feel a little cooler, and on cold days, it blocks the wind, making you feel a little warmer.
